This prompt is one I struggled with more than most. I had a hard time even interpreting the prompt, let alone finding a way to make a video game out of it. I spent much too much time figuring out what to make and finally ended up throwing this together in about two days. It's shoddy and shitty and could hardly be considered a game, but I think I did the best I could with what I had to work with.
The idea here, in case it wasn't obvious, is based on the old thought experiment of "if you push this button you'll get a million dollars, but someone, somewhere, will die" which is itself just a thinly-veiled critique of capitalism/colonialism. The game doesn't come out and say it anywhere, but there's some pretty obvious hints to the suffering you're causing (The screaming face from Undertale that appears every time you press the button, the gravestone in the corner with a counter that increases with every dollar earned).
The message? Don't think about it, just keep pressing that button and watch that number go up.
